I enjoyed learning more about the very well known artist Vincent Van Gogh! I thought it was outstanding how many paintings he did! He had around 900 paintings he did in just short 10 years. It is tragic how he took his own life. I think he would be even more famous than he is today I bet if he would not have died. I learned that you can do whatever you want and however many things you want to do if you are determined like Mr. Van Gogh! I truly enjoyed learning more about Mr. Van Gogh.
I really enjoyed learning more about Grant Wood and is background. The big thing I learned while doing artist research was that everyone has a story and it is cool to learn about different people that you don't know. Mr. Wood was a well known painter that lived in this very state of Iowa! His most famous painting is the American Gothic, which I really like. I truly enjoyed learning about Grant Wood! With my last week in Gamification in the Art room I plan to do another artist research project. I enjoy learning about people and what they accomplished in their lives! I enjoyed doing my artist research project on Chuck Close. I learned a lot while researching him I learned to keep on going after your dreams no matter what happens to you. Chuck is a very interesting man that has received a lot of honors, that he is very worthy for. I liked his paintings and how he kept doing self portraits which he was good at! Like I said, I enjoy Chuck's artwork and I look forward to watching him keep going with his work! I learned in the movie, Nicky's Family, that you can do anything you want and help anyone you help if you set your mind to it. I thought it was humble of him to not share the story with everyone else, but I think it is good that people know his story now. I liked Studio L Glass and how they had a lot of little decorations. I learned at Studio L Glass that you can do whatever you want, no matter what it may be. I thought what made her successful was how she kept trying after she couldn't find any help. Sometimes you just have to keep trying and going until something works out! Lastly, I liked how she ran her business and how it all made sense. This was a really cool day, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience it! I enjoyed making my 2D art project. I thought I made the mow patterns look professional and artistic. I thought I could have made my dirt color in the background look a little bit better, but all in all I thought it turned out pretty good! I am proud of how I made my drawing more artistic looking as I moved on! I chose to do this drawing because I enjoy baseball and thought it could be something to represent me! I liked this project and am excited to keep going with my artwork throughout the rest of the year! My social media choice was twitter. A pro of twitter is that you can connect with friends and see what they are doing. A con of twitter is cyber bulling, what unfortunately happens a lot, not so much on twitter though. What I put on my poster was a catchy phrase to hopefully get people aware of twitter. My poster wouldn't get people on twitter if I said it had a lot of cyber bullying, which isn't as much the case on twitter. I'm happy with how I chose the background and made it look like the twitter birds were flying in the sky! This was a project about what we do in our everyday life. We were suppose to record 20 or more videos that were between 2-5 seconds long. We then put the videos and iMovie and put the videos in our order of what we do everyday. This was a hard project because we had to get a variety of videos that aren't repeating. It was easy to edit the videos and make them go in the order you do things everyday. What surprised me was how many things I / we do everyday without us realizing. I learned how to be creative and make it easy for the audience to understand. While watching my peers videos I realized that we are all different and we do different things, so it is okay to accept that we are all different in our ways. |
